☕ Afternoon Tea & CCD Snaps: A Sweet Catch-Up with My Computer Class Friend
标签:1DUKM
Hey everyone! 👋 Who says computer class friendships stay stuck in coding tutorials and laptop screens? This week, I met up with my new friend from my computer course for a cozy afternoon tea—and it turned into one of my favorite lazy weekend memories, full of good food and even better photos.
We’d bonded over struggling through Python assignments and laughing at our failed code attempts in class, so when she suggested grabbing afternoon tea at a cute café near campus, I said yes right away. The café was tiny but adorable, with pastel walls, potted plants on every table, and soft jazz playing in the background—exactly the kind of spot to unwind after a week of lectures and lab work.
We ordered a spread that sounded perfect for a lazy afternoon: a big plate of fish and chips (crispy golden batter, flaky white fish, and salty fries that were so addictive) and two glasses of apple sparkling water—bubbly, sweet, and just the right amount of tangy to cut through the fried goodness. Let me tell you, that fish and chips hit different—the batter was crunchy but not greasy, and the fish was so fresh it practically melted in my mouth. We dipped every fry in tartar sauce, sipped our sparkling water, and rambled about everything from our least favorite coding bugs to our favorite K-dramas.
But the real star of the day? My friend’s Canon CCD camera. She’d brought it along, saying she loved the vintage, soft-focus vibe it gives photos, and we spent half the afternoon taking pictures of each other. She snapped shots of me grinning with a fry in my hand, and I took photos of her sipping her sparkling water by the window. We even did a little impromptu photo shoot outside the café, with the sun filtering through the trees and turning every shot into something warm and nostalgic.
When I got home, I couldn’t resist editing a few of the photos and posting them on TikTok—adding a soft filter and a cozy song in the background. To my surprise, a few of my UKM friends commented saying they wanted to join our next café trip! Nothing beats sharing good moments and having them turn into content that makes others smile too.
This afternoon tea wasn’t just about the fish and chips or the apple sparkling water (though let’s be real, those were amazing). It was about turning a classmate into a friend, and finding joy in the small, slow moments—like laughing over bad photos, savoring crispy fries, and capturing memories with a vintage camera.
Here’s to more coding struggles in class and more sweet afternoon tea dates outside of it! 📸🍟
